ANGELS ARE COMING TO WOOKEY CHURCH!
After the success of last year's Christmas Tree Festival we're having an Angel Festival! See how you can get involved:
CREATE:
We'd love to fill Wookey Church with angel displays. And we need your help!
Groups or individuals of all ages can create an angel display. It could be one angel or a series of angels, and your angels can be made out of anything! Paper, card, wool, fabric, collage, boxes, felt, or scap naterials.
Plus it's free to enter!
If you need inspiration, there are lots of ideas and guides to be found online.
REGISTER:
We need to know that you are entering by 4th December. This is so that we can allocate a suitable place in Wookey Church for your angel display.
The registration of angel displays is now CLOSED. But you can still enjoy seeing them at Wookey Church!
PLACE:
Our Angel Festival team will work out how to best display all of the Angel Displays. Each Angel Display will have a reserved space inside Wookey Church. This may be on a window sill, hanging from a pillar, on a table or in another spot.
Now it's time to place your angel display inside Wookey Church, you can do so between 10am and 4pm on:

VIEW:
It's the moment you've been waiting for, now you get to see all of the angel displays inside Wookey Church!
The Angel Festival starts on Sunday 10th December and end on Sunday 31st December.
Pop into Wookey Church any time between 10am and 4pm (or dusk if that is earlier) and enjoy looking at all of the angels that people and groups around Wookey have created.
VOTE:
(The money raised during Spare Change voting will be split between Wookey Church, as we continue to care for this historic building, and Embrace, a charity that supports marginalised and vunerable people in the Middle East.)
There'll be so many creative and beautifully made angel displays, but we're sure that you'll have a favourite.
You'll be able to vote for your favourite angel display at two of our services. We'll be using 'spare change' voting. If you've never heard of this before it's where you bring along coins (your spare change) and place your coins by a angel dispay. The angel display with the most money after both voting sessions wins.

Everyone who takes part in the Angel Festival has helped to spread Christmas joy in Wookey!
THANK YOU!
But we imagine that you'd like to know which Angel Display won? Come along to our 10:30am service at Wookey Church on Christmas Eve to find out who was voted the winner. There will be certificates given out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place at the service too.
REMOVE:
Now you get to take your Angel Display home. Come to Wookey Church from Monday 1st January - Sunday 5th January between 10am and 4pm (or dusk if it's earlier) and remove your angel display.
The Angel Festival Team would greatly appreciate if you can do this, otherwise it'll make it a big task to get the church looking back to normal.
You can put your angel display away until next Christmas when you can have it out at home, or give it to friends or family to enjoy. Otherwise, please recycle where you can.
