nEW TO CHURCH

Whether you're new to Jesus, new to Church, or just visiting you are very welcome to join us here at CHW Churches.

WHAT TO WEAR

Most of our regulars choose to dress casually, but please wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

QUESTIONS?

When you arrive at any of our churches you will be greeted by a member of our welcome team or a sidesperson (the one handing out the service sheets) - they will be able to help you at any time during your visit.

WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?

Although we do not run a traditional "Sunday School" we do provide activities for babies, toddlers, and primary school-aged children to do during all of our services under the supervision of their parents or guardians.

FACILITIES

Each of our churches has access to toilet and baby-change facilities either in the church or nearby - just ask one of our welcome team or a sidesperson and they will direct you.

THE SERVICE

The service will start with sung worship and the words will either be in hymn books or on the big screen for you. If you don’t know the songs, just relax and listen. Feel free to sing, clap, tap your feet – whatever you are comfortable with. Most people will stand during any music, but equally, feel free to sit if you wish.

There will be announcements shortly after followed by readings from the Bible and the day’s talk after which there will be an opportunity to respond to what have you have heard as well as a time of intercessions during prayer. Holy Communion will then follow before we close the service with more sung worship. You may find the format slightly different depending on the service you attend and you can find out more about our specific services here.

We would love to give everyone who visits CHW Churches the chance to be prayed for and so after our services we offer a time of prayer ministry — though there is no pressure at all. The service leader will point this out and make it really clear for you.

Services last 1hr but will always allow for a time of fellowship over coffee and biscuits after the service has finished - please do stay and say hello!
