Small groups

"You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house."
Acts 20:20

Small Groups are the best way to grow in life, faith, and friendship. We run a range of groups meeting at different times during the week for a time of fellowship, Bible study, and prayer - all within the comfort of someone's home. Come and get to know new friends and know God more. Click the button below to inquire about when our groups run and to join a group.

WHAT HAVE WE EXPLORED
RECENTLY?

Living in Love and Faith

This was a Church of England mini course with videos and comments from a diverse range of people. The small groups created a 'safe' space where everyone could confidentially discuss the videos and comments, and share their personal experience and the experiences of family and friends. The course was deigned to look at some big issues, these included:

  • How do questions about identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage fit within the bigger picture of the good news of Jesus Christ?

  • What does it mean to live in love and faith together as a Church?

Les Miserables

This was a five week discussion group which used the musical and film of Les Miserables to explore spiritual themes within the story and some of the characters, including:

  • Fantine and Cosette

  • The Bishop of Digne

  • Jean Valjean

  • Javert

  • This was a fun topic, especially with the clips to watch!

The Screwtape Letters

Many people know and love the books of C.S. Lewis - the writer of the Narnia series. C.S. Lewis also wrote non-fiction and fiction books for adults, including 'The Screwtape Letters'. This book is compromises a series of letters which an experienced tempter called Screwtape, writes to his nephew Wormwood, who is a junior tempter. The main subject of the letters is a human man, who is exploring Christianity and trying to live a Christian life.
