Stars in Wookey Church

STARS ARE COMING TO WOOKEY CHURCH!

Over the last couple of years Wookey Church has been transformed into a beautiful Christmassy place for everyone to enjoy. This year, we’re doing things a little differently - there’s no competition, just a joint effort to fill Wookey Church with stars! See how you can get involved:

CREATE:

We'd love to fill Wookey Church with stars. And we need your help!

Come along to our 'workshop' event: Fill Wookey Church with Stars 3-4pm on Saturday 30th November, and come and decorate and make stars with us, as we listen to Christmas carols and enjoy hot chocolate.

If you want to start making stars earlier, as a group or an individual you can. Your stars can be made out of anything! Paper, card, wool, fabric, collage, boxes, felt, or scap materials. And if you need inspiration, there are lots of ideas and guides to be found online.

Then bring your stars along to Wookey Church 3-4pm on Saturday 30th November.

VIEW:

It's the moment you've been waiting for, now you get to see all of the stars inside Wookey Church!

The stars will be up in Wookey Church from Sunday 1st December to starts on Sunday 1st December and ends on Thursday 26th December.

Wookey Church is open daily from approx. 10am - 3pm
during December, although it may not be open on bank holidays unless there are services.

REMOVE:

Now you get to take your stars home. Come to Wookey Church from Friday 27th December - Monday 30th December between 10am and 3pm (or dusk if it's earlier) and remove your stars.

The Wookey Church Team would greatly appreciate if you can do this, otherwise it'll make it a big task to get the church looking back to normal.

You can put your stars away until next Christmas when you can have it out at home, or give it to friends or family to enjoy. Otherwise, please recycle where you can.
