Holy Week
What is Holy Week?
Holy Week starts on Palm Sunday (29th March) and ends with Easter Sunday (5th April). We encourage you to connect with the events leading up to Easter, the challenges, suffering and death, so that joy of Easter Sunday and Christ's resurrection is even more meaningful.

Sacred Space
As we begin Holy Week, take time to join together for 45 minutes each evening in silent meditation to reflect on Jesus. There will be a short reflection to begin, a time of silence and a closing prayer.

Shared Supper
We remember the meal that Jesus shared with his followers, known as the Last Supper, as we share food together. The Last Supper is remembered at every Holy Communion service, but experiencing it as an actual meal with other Christians is a special experience.
6:00pm Thursday 2nd April at Wookey Church Hall

Tenebrae
Tenebrae is a thoughtful service remembering the events around Jesus’ death. We read and reflect on the sufferings, arrest and execution of Jesus. These will be symbolised with 13 candles, which are extinguished one at a time during the service.
7:00pm Thursday 2nd April at St Matthew's Wookey

An Hour Around the Cross
On Good Friday (Friday 3rd Aril) we remember Jesus’ death and those involved that day. This is a thoughtful service with readings and reflections.
2:00pm Friday 3rd April at Christ Church Coxley
