Wookey Church is dedicated to St Matthew, one of Jesus’ disciples. He collected taxes for the Romans  so, he wasn’t popular with everyone, but went on to write the first of the gospels.

Join us as we celebrate St Matthew’s Day with the church open for tours to the top of the tower! There’ll be refreshments to enjoy throughout the afternoon, and we're excited about a special performance by Wookey Choirworks!
