THE CHRISTMAS EXPERIENCE
Experience the Christmas story like never before
WHAT IS IT?
Every year we team up with Wookey Farm to provide 'The Christmas Experience'. Schools from around Somerset come and visit the farm in December and get the chance to walk the road to Bethlehem. They visit the census point, get stopped by a Roman tax collector, visit the inn and finally arrive at the stable where Christmas began. All children end up with a book to take home and remind them of their visit.
HOW LONG IS IT?
The experience lasts for around 45 minutes as hundreds of children take the road to Bethlehem and experience the Christmas story like never before.
WHO CAN COME?
In addition to schools visiting, we also welcome groups that appreciate a multi-sensory approach and we talk through the story as they experience it for themselves. Contact benadmin@chwchurches.co.uk to inquire further about your visit.
We also have a 'live' crib service on the farm on the Saturday before Christmas so that everybody local can experience the road to Bethlehem for themselves! We walk the road, sing carols and end up in the stable with mince pies and mulled wine. Check our calendar for more details of this.

We begin booking schools from October onwards, so please contact benadmin@chwchurches.co.uk for further information or to book your space for the next experience. The cost for schools is only £2.00 per child and we will supply instructions and a risk assessment for your visit.
